Mountain-Guides is a young and dynamic company that has been formed by people who have a passion for the mountains and who think that life should be an adventure.

The core goals of Mountain Guides is to provide exceptional courses and guided experiences that will be fun, safe, exciting and educational. All the guides that we use for our courses are English speaking professionals (all members of the International Federation of Mountain Guides – IFMGA) and aside from providing an excellent service we know that our clients will be in very safe hands.

Mountain Guide is a new company built on the vast experience of one of its founders, mountain guide Richard Mansfield. Richard has had a lifelong passion for the mountains and has spent the past 25 years instructing skiing and mountaineering throughout the world. Richard qualified as an international mountain guide in 1993. Recognised as a highly experienced guide, Richard is a Director of the British Mountain Guides Association (BMG) and is the Training Officer for the BMG, coordinating and running the training of all British mountain guides. Richard has climbed, instructed and guided extensively throughout the UK and Europe as well as Canada, Alaska, North and South America and the Nepalese, Tibetan and Indian Himalayas. Based in Chamonix, Richard is a member of both the British and French Mountain Guides Associations.
